Artu Biologicals is a Dutch (bio)pharmaceutical company founded in 1984. The company is a division of Fornix BioSciences N.V., which is listed at the Euronext stock exchange (Amsterdam). Artu Biologicals is focused on research & development, manufacturing and marketing of (ethical) medicines in the field of allergy.
In Lelystad we manufacture diagnostic and immunotherapeutic allergens. Immunotherapy is the causal approach to treat allergy. As opposed to traditional symptom relieving medication, immunotherapy not only treats the allergic symptoms, but also the underlying immunological causes of allergy.
Beside humans also animals can suffer from allergy. For humans we manufacture a sublingual (= under the tongue) immunotherapy, Oralgen® (at this moment only sold in The Netherlands); for animals - especially dogs - we have the subcutaneous immunotherapy, Artuvetrin® (used by veterinarians all over Europe)
Other important products of Artu Biologicals are:

KeruTabs® and KeruLac®, a lactase enzym, for people suffering from lactose intolerance.
This product is sold in some European countries (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany and Spain)
In The Netherlands we are distributor of:
- Pollinex®, a subcutaneous immunotherapy to treat grass pollen and/ or tree pollen allergy.
